2015: Radarsign™ Reports Year-Over-Year Growth for the 11th Year
Revenue and sign volumes continued their upward trend; portable TC-400 sales surged by 27%
ALPHARETTA, Ga., January 18, 2016 —For the 11th year in a row, Radarsign™ saw a year-over-year rise in revenue and sign-volume sales. This is primarily attributed to continued penetration into municipal and law enforcement sectors. Innovation is behind this unprecedented success. Over the past two years, Radarsign—the manufacturer of the world’s first armored radar speed signs—has rolled out two new sign models and debuted several new features.
In 2015, Radarsign’s newest portable sign for law enforcement agencies—the TC-400—saw the largest gains: a 27 percent increase in sale volume. The TC-400 is a battery powered portable system that allows a single radar speed sign to be used in numerous locations, delivering a strong ROI to police departments, schools, or businesses. Quick-mount GoBrackets installed onto multiple existing poles allows the radar speed sign to be easily rotated between different venues within the community.
“Timing couldn’t be better for law enforcement agencies,” says Charlie Robeson, Radarsign co-founder and managing partner. “A nationwide drop in gas prices correlates with an increased number of drivers on the road. The ability to quickly and easily move these signs to areas of greatest need has been a key selling point for the Radarsign TC-400.”
In addition to the TC-400, Radarsign recently debuted the TC-600 model, which provides a larger full-matrix LED display. This radar speed sign is NEMA 4R and MUTCD compliant and offers dynamic messaging, micro-flash technology, exceptional visibility and Wi-Fi-enabled connectivity.
Radar speed signs are effective because of Feedback Loops, a concept which states that providing people with information about their actions in real time and giving them an opportunity to change those actions, pushes them toward better behaviors. Action, information, reaction. In areas considered to be “autopilot journey” destinations, drivers often break the speed limit, brake too late or don’t stop at pedestrian crossings. Strategically placed, radar speed signs can serve as triggers, stimulating drivers to transition from autopilot to attentive.
