These signs are totally awesome. We have part time police officers who patrol our roadways, and they tell me the number of tickets has gone down. Everything was great. If we were in the market in the future for additional signs, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from Radarsign again.
We needed to replace some old, antiquated trailers and when I found out that I could buy two Radarsign radar speed signs for the price of replacing my trailer AND I didn’t need to use a trailer hitch or vehicle with it, I decided to go with that.
The signs are fabulous and are extremely popular with the community. We constantly get requests for them because residents love the fact that the signs slow down traffic.
We will get a complaint about speeding, so we will move the sign to that area. We are able to pull a report and show the citizen that complained that out of 5,000 cars that passed the sign only 200 were at or above the speed limit. The rest were below. So their perception of speeding drivers is not always accurate.
We’ve noticed less speeding. I enjoy using them, and I like the way they work.
The ease of hanging the TC-400 is so convenient. We purchased extra mounting brackets so that we can move the signs around quickly. They are so much easier to install than our old speed trailer.
Within two months of installing the sign, a drunk driver crashed and wiped out the sign. When city workers retrieved it from the side of the highway, we were shocked to find that it wasn’t destroyed. The signs are made fantastically. Some minor repairs needed to be made and it was like new.
We really like the Safety in a Box package that Radarsign offers. The instructions were simple and straightforward and the installation was quick and easy. The pre-installed anchor bolts in the Sonotube form made it very buildable.
The signs are very visible to motorists, even on rainy nights.
We really like the mobility of the TC-400 signs—we can put them where we need them. They work well for us—just as advertised… Having Radarsign speed signs at the school has caused more brake lights than anything else we’ve done.
Up front, I told the mayor, We don’t need it, it’s a waste of money. By the fall, I told him, I do believe it’s made a difference. Once we got it in and got it installed, I changed my mind. I’m glad we have it now. It’s a wonderful tool: it really does slow traffic down.
It gets people’s attention. They slow down. You can sit a few blocks away and watch people hitting their brakes. We have residents ask, Could you put that on our street? And we like to do that.
It’s a good quality sign, heavy duty. The batteries last longer than we expected them to, and they’re easy to charge overnight. All around, it’s got good function and is user friendly.
I run the Streetsmart reports when we move the sign, then discuss the data with Public Safety, Public Transportation and Public Works. When we do find problems in a certain area, we ask the sheriff’s office to step in. We want to make sure we place officers at the right time and location, and not waste their time and efforts.
I started researching safety measures we could add, and found that several of the 17 schools in the UNC system were using the Radarsign brand. I contacted them and got great feedback.
As a city, we have to get 3 bids for every project and are dictated to go with the low bid. Radarsign met all our needs and still offered the best price.
They signs work great. They do a good job of giving folks a chance to correct their speed before entering the campground.
Streetsmart software is super easy to use…It’s easy to download data and upload the info; it gives us good information and lets us know if we need to be able to sit at that location at a certain time.
The TC-400s are easy to set up, easy to open and replace the batteries, and they’re visible and easy to read. We really like the fact that you can change each battery so easily. With one sign we purchased from another manufacturer, you have to pull the whole sign down and charge it.
The Radarsign signs are leaps and bounds better than the other product we have. The size, portability and mounting is easier with Radarsign. I highly recommend them to other agencies.
My guys download the traffic data from onto their Apple and Android phones without a problem.
