Customer Reviews and Testimonials
Radarsign is a trusted source for the best quality radar speed signs on the market today. Here is what our customers have to say about us.
We recently reduced the speed limit on our railroad tracks to 10 mph. We were looking for options to keep the locomotives within the speed limit. This has helped them reduce their speed and things are running pretty smooth now.
They work! Radarsign got back to me quickly and was reasonably priced. They were also easy enough to install.
Radarsign is a high-end product which fits in with our upscale community.
Now, our force is very short-handed and everyone’s stretched pretty thin. The biggest benefit is that it helps us with timelines. The data shows us when speeding is the worst and I can say, ‘I need you there from 5 until 6.’ It helps me prioritize where we put our officers.
We compare the data collected by our TC-400 signs to the numbers published in the traffic control handbook put out by the federal government to determine if any roadway is having issues. If yes, we get officers out to observe and enforce; if no, we know it’s not a priority at this time.
We had specific locations in mind for the initial 6 pairs of signs we purchased. We performed traffic studies before and after installing the TC-600s and found we were getting a 20% reduction in speeding. So we bought another pair of signs the following fiscal year.
Most of the signs are on our local collectors, where we have higher traffic volume and where speed tables would slow emergency vehicles more than we want. With the signs, we get more positive feedback than negative, whereas with the speed tables, we get more negative than positive.
We purchased the Radarsign drive speed sign due to complaints and traffic accidents in the area. Residents have contacted us saying that they have noticed that traffic has slowed down in the area and are happy.
As a city, we have to get 3 bids for every project and are dictated to go with the low bid. Radarsign met all our needs and still offered the best price.
We wanted a one-man show,’ something one officer could just grab and go without having to make sure there was a pickup available and a ladder or anything else. The TC-400s are our primary means to address speeding complaints. We bought our second TC-400 within a year of the first, so we didn’t have any lag time before putting out the next sign. And then this third sign lets us respond even more quickly to complaints. They allow us to show data so they know what’s actually going on in their neighborhoods.
Residents love the signs because they can sit and watch drivers’ reactions. I’ve sat in my unmarked car and watched drivers get on the brakes when the sign starts flashing that they’re going too fast.
There is a school zone as you drive into Vidalia. As cars come in drivers see the sign and they slow down. And, because we don’t have to keep an officer posted there all the time now, the signs solve a manpower issue, which also helps with budgeting–an important factor in this economy.
Since deploying the signs, we have gotten incredibly positive feedback from the community and members of our neighborhood watch…The size and portability were the important factors, but we also found it was well designed and effective
My officers love the signs because they can just put it in their car and go…and Streetsmart software helps us to know when to assign officers to an area if it turns out there is a problem, instead of guessing when to send them out.
I would recommend the Radarsign brand and buy more.
The signs have been well received by the community and, in fact, we just ordered another one from Radarsign last week. We’ve been very happy with everything about them.
We have a highway where part of it is a school zone. I really like that I can set the sign to change, so it’s 20 miles per hour during school hours, then back to 35 miles per hour at other times.
As traffic approaches the Radarsign speed sign, they slow down tremendously to meet the posted speed
